& Millersport is always a treat! Their fruits and vegetables
always look great and from the line at the meat Deli - you would think
they were giving the stuff away. We'll be going back in a few weeks to
pick up pumpkins and corn stalks - and probably a dozen other things.

time of year that many of us like to go to the Farmers' market to get fresh fruits and vegetables that are abundant now. I've been building
a directory of local Farmers' markets to make them easier to find. It's under the heading of Specialty Foods - Farmers'
markets.
If you know of any others - please let me know and I will add them.
Also, if there are any road side stands that you like to stop at. I know there
are a few along Ward Rd in North Tonawanda / Wheatfield area.

the nicer weather, many people prefer to buy
their produce from Farmer's Markets and road side stands.
Frank's
Produce Market on the corner of Military and Thurston in
Kenmore is an outdoor sheltered market that was doing quite a
brisk business last Monday when I stopped by. Frank's is open M-F 8-5:30
Sat. 8-5. Sun. 8-4. and Holidays 8-2. He also has Homemade Spaghetti
Sauce and Pasta Faglioli. He will be open till October.

new restaurant at 1141 Kenmore Ave was opened recently by
chefs Michael Andrzejewski and Tai Truong. Tsunami serves food that is

3/14/2002 Tops market
made it easy to prepare for the annual Irish feast. All the
ingredients for dinner were right at the entrance to the store at the Tops
on Elmwood between Hertel and Kenmore. We are trying something
different this year - the corned beef is a round instead of the usual flat
brisket.
I'll let you know how it was. (Tops does have both types
of corned beef available)

soon, people in Western NY will be preparing for the the annual
Feast of St. Joseph.
