Showcase "Taster" Fact Sheet
for The Ken Ton Showcase 2002
"There's No Place Like Home"

 


Where:   Herbert Hoover Elementary & Middle Schools, Sheridan Drive

Dates and Times:    Friday, June 28th     VIP Party 6pm to 9pm
Saturday, June 29th  11am to 8pm
Sunday, June 30th  11am to 4pm

Booth Rates:            Members $225                Non-members $320

Electric will be an additional $50   (additional usage will be billed separately)

All Showcase "Tasters" must have a Health Permit in advance of show (the cost is $53)

1. Each restaurant must have a minimum of 2 menu items, a maximum of 3 items.  This would be 3 different menu items.  Certain variations on a similar type of menu item would be allowed and considered one item, subject to approval by the Taste committee.

2. There must be at least one item at either .50 or $1.00 (this is your "taste" item) Other items must NOT exceed $3.00

3. Each booth is responsible for collecting and handling their own money for their sales, and for paying any and all sales and other taxes.

4. All participants must maintain health and sanitation standards as dictated by the Erie County Health Department

5. The Taste will be outside under several tents.  This will allow some cooking on-site, not under the tents, but immediately outside.  The exact configuration of tents is still being worked out.

6. Restaurants are expected to bring all their own refrigeration, pots, pans, utensils, warming trays, microwaves, etc…

7. Your paid registration will guarantee your food selections based on a first come first served basis.  You will be mailed a Menu Form upon paid registration, and it is our policy to maintain exclusivity on menu items. All menu items and pricing subject to final approval by the "Taster" Committee.

8. Each vendor will also be offered the opportunity to sell soft drinks by our exclusive drink vendor with pre-established policies, prices, and sizes.  (These will not count as one of your menu selections).

9. Set-up will be Saturday morning from 7am to 10am, with the Health Inspection scheduled at 10am.
YOU MUST BE COMPLETELY READY FOR INSPECTION BY 10AM.
