Hamburger  Soup

1 lb.       hamburg

1 cup     diced onion

1 cup     cubed potatoe

1 cup     sliced carrots

1/2 cup  diced celery

1 cup     shredded cabbage

2 cups    canned tomato or juice

1 1/2 qt. water

1/4 cup   rice

small bay leaf crushed

4 teasp.   salt

1/8 teasp. pepper

1/4 cup   cheddar cheese shredded

Cook (brown) hamburger and onion in pan. Bring to a boil potato,carrots, celery,

cabbage, juice and water. Add rice and browned hamburger and onion to mixture.

Add salt, pepper and cheddar cheese. Cover and simmer one hour.

Sprinkle Romano cheese on top when served.
