Pumpkin Cookie Pumpkin
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)          1    cup flour (Pillsbury All Purpose)
1/2 cup sugar (Domino)               1/2  tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup pumpkin (Comstock Pie Mix)   1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1   egg                              1/4 tsp. salt
                                     1/2 cup chocolate chips (Nestle)
Frosting
3   Tabs. butter                      1   cup sifted sugar
5   tsp. milk                         3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar (Domino)
     Cream shortening, sugar and pumpkin in bowl. Add egg and mix well.
Stir in sifted dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Spread on lightly
greased 12" pizza pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 - 14 min.
Cool in pan on rack.
     Meanwhile, make frosting. In saucepan, cook butter, milk and sugar
until sugar is dissolved. Cool in pan about 5 min. Stir in sugar and 
vinalla till mixed well. Spread frosting evenly over cookie.
     Decorating:Raisins of mini chocolate chips to make pumpkin's eyes
                Orange confectioners sugar icing to make pumpkin's ridges
                Green confectioners sugar icing to make stem.
Makes 16 servings
