1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 large egg - separate
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Beat butter, sugars and egg yolk in large mixer bowl,
till light and fluffy. Combine flour, cinnamon,
and salt in another bowl. Add to beaten mixture and
beat until just blended. Dough will be stiff.
Spread dough evenly in an ungreased 15 x 10 1/2 in.
jelly roll pan.
Beat egg white with fork till foamy, spread over dough.
Sprinkle with nuts and press lightly.
Bake at 350 degrees about 40 min. While hot, cut into
3 in. squares, then cut each square diagonally
into triangles. Cool in pan.
